DASH · Physical space
Room booking
Find and book meeting rooms and desks across participating departments.
Digital Administrative Services Hub
DASH is an initiative to move administrative services out of email inboxes and into structured, trackable systems. When you submit a request, you can see where it is and what's happening with it.
01 · Live now
Processes you can use right now. More as each one goes live.
DASH · Physical space
Find and book meeting rooms and desks across participating departments.
02 · Processes
Each process gets internal tracking and structured data, and central campus offices don't have to change how they work. The point is to make the status of every request visible.
Research
Cost-share approval routing into Jira with the Provost & VPR.
Research
Clear surfacing of non-standard terms & conditions; plain-language AI summaries, admin-reviewed.
HR & Payroll
Appointment processing; department email reflectors feeding Jira.
HR & Payroll
Search and promotion committee workflows; pain points such as dossier routing.
Procurement
Request management & approval workflows to front-end the procurement process.
Physical space
Inventory tracking, building on existing college work; productivity metrics per space.
Built to generalize
Supporting both centralized and decentralized colleges means DASH can work anywhere on campus.
03 · Verticals
Processes group into four verticals. Each has its own color and its own shape: a cobalt circle for Research, a green square for HR & Payroll, a magenta triangle for Procurement, an orange plus for Physical space, so requests stay easy to scan whether you read in color or not.
Pre-award cost share routing and award notification, with plain-language summaries of non-standard terms.
Appointment processing, payroll actions, and faculty search and promotion workflows.
Request management and approval workflows that front-end the procurement process.
Room booking today; inventory tracking and productivity metrics per space as the process matures.
04 · How it works
DASH runs on tools that are already in daily use, like Jira Service Management for request tracking and Robin for room booking, so there's nothing new for you to learn.
Submit through the portal or your department's email reflector, in plain language.
Triage sends it to the owning queue with an ID you can reference, like DASH-214, so ownership is clear and requests don't get dropped.
Check the status yourself in the portal instead of sending "did you see my email?" follow-ups.
05 · Timeline
Updated
Getting organized, documenting current processes, and learning from the ADR pilot. The cost-share workflow is in user testing.
Initial rollout for sponsored research processes: pre-award workflows and award notification.
Procurement, HR/payroll, space, and hiring follow as each vertical's process design matures.
